Felt like the movie was too focused on the power struggle between Phife & Tip... wish it woulda just built up from the beginning, maybe focused on the production, include more archival footage and old interviews, but it was more of a "current state of ATCQ" type movie... ALI could see the bs that was goin on and rarely had much to say in the film, Jarobi had his little parts but it was mainly the Tip vs Phife show... it was nice to see Pharrell in the documentary and how AMPED he was to talk about Tribes classic music and albums... the movie could've been 45 minutes and we woulda got the same story that took 100 minutes to show.

Killer of Sheep (1978) (1978)

OH YES! the kind of movie I've been looking for for a long time and I didn't even know it. I feel like this movie influenced movies like "Slacker" and "Gummo" -- I'm not a huge historian on movies but I can see some of the guidelines/formats used in this movie found in those as well.

Crumb (1994)

This guy is kind of an asshole... "I'm different because I like bigger women" -- "He's a walking billboard because he has a football team on his shirt" ... honestly bro?

Where to start... lately I haven't been able to keep much focus on anything unless it really grabs my attention, I really liked the first 35 minutes of the movie and then it kinda just repeats it self from their, over the years I may grow more fond of this one I did like the camera work a lot and the casting was done pretty nicely. Current rating - 3 out of 5 but may go up later.

Pros: The Lawyer in this movie is really smart, he has a way with words that I'm not used to, if you're into stuff like CSI/Law & Order etc. you will love this, the lawyer puts those shows to shame.
Cons: Cinematography wasn't amazing but maybe that was the point.
Overall: this is a must watch if you're into the science of using words as much as I am.

Beyond the Mat (1999) (2000)

Never knew how much wrestlers sacrificed 'til watching this, even if you're not a wrestling fan you'll be able to follow this one...
14KT Frazier's rating:

Show Me Love (1998)

Great coming of age tale, love the way it was shot, love the storyline, sure their is a "lesbian" element to the movie, but just classifying this as a "LGBTQ" movie kinda takes away from it in my opinion, accurate story-telling in this one for the age group (high school).
14KT Frazier's rating:

Snow on Tha Bluff (2011)

Definitely not for everyone, only reason I like it is because I know people that live like this and I've been places that look like this...
14KT Frazier's rating:

Gummo (1997)

I'd love to make a movie like this one day about the city I'm from, everything in this movie seems like it could've and probably has taken place within a 1-2 mile radius of where I grew up.
14KT Frazier's rating:

American Movie (1999)

Being from Wisconsin, I know too many people like these guys hahaha
Update: 11/07/14 this has become a movie I watch at least once a month now, somethin real honest about it - also like lookin at mid 90s documentary film of Wisconsin, I remember those times from being a kid
14KT Frazier's rating:

Tommy Boy (1995)

Decent comedy but it focuses too much on the story-line rather than being funny throughout, much like a lot of 90's/80's movies. R.I.P. Chris Farley, a true Wisconsin legend, I met his mom when I worked at Walgreens on Madison's northside, one of the nicest ladies I've ever met.
14KT Frazier's rating:

Waiting... (2005)

If you've ever worked in customer service and know about how rude/entitled some of the customers can be this movie is for you.
14KT Frazier's rating:

One of my favorite documentaries of all time, such a simple concept but it makes so much sense when you watch it.
14KT Frazier's rating:

Knocked Up (2007)

Pretty immature movie, but I still laughed, I'm a sucker for Seth Rogen's style. I don't like the uncut/unrated version because it's too long.
14KT Frazier's rating:

Dutch (1991)

Possibly a little bit too long, 90 minutes would've made more sense, despite that the movie still has a good pace. Ed O'neill is the man.
14KT Frazier's rating:

Project X (2012)

Cool party movie... not much to say about it, if you haven't watched it and you're in a "party movie" mood, go ahead.
14KT Frazier's rating:

The Basketball Diaries (1995)

One of my favorite movies about drug addiction, I've seen this movie probably 5 times and I still love it. This movie probably could've been 3 - 4 hours and really paced out the depressing/downward spiral of addiction if it really wanted to.
14KT Frazier's rating:

The Hangover (2009)

Pretty funny the first time I watched it, still like it for Alan's parts... Recommended for people travelling to sin city for the first time.
14KT Frazier's rating:

5.9 on imdb? it's not mind blowing or anything, it's a cheap comedy by artie lang, probably his best performance as well, wasn't a big fan of his stand up stuff... but this movie was funny
14KT Frazier's rating:

The Godfather of Green Bay (2005)

Saw this one late at night on PBS and thought it was pretty funny, haven't been able to track down a copy yet...
14KT Frazier's rating:

The Godfather: Part II (1974)

all I can say is "WOW", a long movie and everything in it is so well planned, thought out, written...
14KT Frazier's rating:

PCU (1994)

good drinking movie, i like cheap humor like this from the early-mid 90's, also the stoned age is another good one.
14KT Frazier's rating:

Sugar Hill (1993)

I really don't understand the bad rating for this movie, it stands out to me as a classic, maybe it's because I can relate a lot to these characters, from the way I grew up.
14KT Frazier's rating:

has it's moments, but overall too long and all over the place, I like the way it was filmed though, I've since watched a few dogme95 films and they're really not that great despite the manifesto sounding so cool...
edit: Werner Herzog was great in this
14KT Frazier's rating:

Even Dwarfs Started Small (1970)

not sure how to review a movie like this, except that I had a fun time watching it, and had some genuine smiles/laughs while watching it, beautifully shot as well
14KT Frazier's rating:

Assault on Precinct 13 (1976)

Moved way too slow for my liking, although I did like the soundtrack, this is the 2nd time I watched this and I felt just as bored as when I watched it the first time 5 years ago...
14KT Frazier's rating:

Slacker (1990)

The people of Austin, TX remind me of the people of Madison, Wi a lot hahaha, this movie is pretty cool, and it's netflix so if you're bored check it out, a lot of the stuff on netflix is a joke.
14KT Frazier's rating:

Not gonna give a big review on this it's a cheap comedy that I watched with my friend over some beers and whiskey, I liked it a lot considering I haven't seen many good comedies in a while, this one stands out as being just different enough to enjoy on future occasions.
14KT Frazier's rating:

Mister Lonely (2008)

Pretty tragic story... If you ever felt like you think differently than others this movie will make sense to you.
ALSO: Werner Herzog was great in this, there's one scene in particular that really shocked me (in a good way).
14KT Frazier's rating:

The Ref (1994)

Interesting take on a holiday movie hahaha, the originality factor is a huge plus in my opinion, I liked this one a lot, definitely not for everyone, read the description to see if you'd want to watch it.
14KT Frazier's rating:

Vincent (1982)

Not a fan of Tim Burton by any means but this short film was clever and well planned, I'd recommend this to anyone.
14KT Frazier's rating:

George Lucas in Love (1999)

Good short film about finding your inspiration in every day life, and about "doing what you know" when it comes to writing, maybe they stated it too obviously in the short film, but I think it's good... I watch this every now and then as a reminder to keep going.
14KT Frazier's rating:

Paperboys (2001)

I was around the same age of these kids when this came out so it was nice to look at the styles/interests of these kids back then and compare em to what I liked at the time. I was a big fan of WWF/Goldeneye/NFL/N64/Riding BMX Bikes/Listening to 2Pac/Eminem/Snoop Dogg/DMX as well...
14KT Frazier's rating:

Really liked this one, kind of like the movie "KIDS" minus the cynical/aggressive nature of the characters.
14KT Frazier's rating:

Terminal Bar (2003)

Good Short Film, feel like the bartender was kind of a douchebag in the way that he talked about some of his customers over the 10 year period he worked the "terminal bar"... but that's the only thing I really didn't like about it.
14KT Frazier's rating:

Trash Humpers (2011)

Definitely not for everyone, not even completely sure I like it, nice to see Harmony Korine going back to film though, wasn't a huge fan of the way "Mister Lonely" was shot compared to his other films... There is no storyline in this one and not much dialog... if you're bored and want to see something that looks like and old episode of americas funniest home videos, by all means go for it...
14KT Frazier's rating:

Vernon, Florida (1981)

Not much to say about this one, I know a lot of people like the characters in this one (being that I'm from Wisconsin, there's a weird connection between Wisconsin and Florida that I have noticed over the years) so putting a bunch of them in front of a camera telling their fish stories for 55 minutes with brief shots of scenery in between doesn't do much for me, the scenery is beautiful however, not sure who I'd recommend this one too.
14KT Frazier's rating:

Planes, Trains & Automobiles (1987)

Pros: Great movie for the holiday season, a true classic that the whole family can watch and enjoy.
Cons: There really isn't any off the top of my head
Overall: Definitely a must watch FOR ME during the Holiday season, I'd recommend it to anyone who likes holiday movies, or is from the midwest.

Good Setting, Good Cinematography, How well the Cast plays their role, The pace of the movie... I like storyline, a good plot twist if necessary, metaphors if necessary but they don't determine the score as much as the other things I like.
