At 82, Elsa behaves as though she is in the prime of her life. Alfredo, having recently lost his wife of many years, moves into a small apartment next door to Elsa, to face what he believes will be the sad remainder of his life. When the two meet and become friends, they each learn from the other about love, dreams deferred and lives worth living.
