Games were stealth, although a main element, is not the only predominant element.

The games were you have to be hidden in the shadows, lurking around, unseen, and caught the enemies off-guard. Were being stealthy is needed.
What I personally, look for in a stealth game:
* Focus on stealth and staying hidden;
* Good level design;
* Nonlethal options;
* Cool stealth mechanics like hiding bodies, wearing disguises or shooting lights, for example;
* Cool gadgets;
* Feeling like a badass ninja.
