-Best action. Best villain. Best scene out of all the films.
Cons: Some pacing issues at the end. Did not like Kirk's son storyline.

-Very funny. I liked the mysterious nature of the alien threat.
Cons: Some time travel problems are glossed over. This is a comedy, so if you are looking for something else you might hate it.

-Aside from a few clunky matte paintings (watched the original version), this is the best looking Trek film. I found the continuous shots of the ship enthralling, along with the incredible music score. Interesting concept.
Cons: The cast doesn't seem as comfortable as they did in latter films. '7th Heaven Dad' was the weak link.

-Great sets and good pacing. Fun adventure movie. Christopher Plummer is fantastic.
Cons: The climax at the end was a little silly even by Trek standards.

-Great action. I liked the James Cromwell character, he brought some much needed humor.
Cons: Picard is an a-hole in this one. The Borg queen is unnecessary and should have been better used in the story.

-Solid entry. Christopher Lloyd is a boss.
Cons: Goes over the same territory as the previous movie. The new Saavik is boring. I still hate Kirk's son and most of all, almost no Spock. Poorly shot action.

-It's really not that bad. The reveal at the end had potential but it wasn't properly developed. Overall the cast carries through and it's still fun.
Cons: Some really bad effects. Shatner's worst acting. A lot of cheesy stuff, including the talking to ghosts scene.

The climax involves a tag-team/inter-generational fist fight. All the TNG movies have problems but they are all also very watchable.

The dune buggy scene is one of the worst in Trek movie history, but this entry has decent action and an interesting villain.

I'm a fan of F. Murray Abraham even if he is not given much to do.
I hated the Ba'ku people and had no interest in their survival or Picard's warped sense of justice for their cause. Strong first half devolves into a boring action movie. Decent.

Star Trek films best to worst.
This is coming from a non-Trekkie and having just watched all of them in one month. I was a minor fan of the TNG crew growing up.
