Against All Odds: My Story - Ken Abraham,Chuck Norris
All joking off aside (way aside), Mr. Norris is pretty fucking awesome! Read this book if you do not believe me.
Mr. Lays's rating:

I love the scope of this book. It covers from well known groups like the American Mafia to the Nigerian cyber scam groups to the 14K Triads, and all of the secret origins of them. I may seem like a daunting task to partake in (and I imagine that it was, with the author personally receiving two deaths while researching this book), but it was worth it to get a look at some of the lesser know groups.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter - Seth Grahame-Smith
How the addition of adding vampires to Lincoln's life story blends so seamlessly amazes me! A truly fun read!
Mr. Lays's rating:

Simply amazing stories. I cannot even begin to describe the interesting theories tales that these short stories produce. A must read for not just fans of science fiction, but stories about life and the knowing about our fore told futures about death. Excellent read!

American Sniper: The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in U.S. Military History... - Chris Kyle, Scott McEwen, Jim DeFelice
Just remember this number: 150. That is the amount of *confirmed* kills that this Navy SEAL has. Ungodly, right? Honestly, I know that is a selling point, but it is much more than just shooting and killing found in this book. I enjoy the alternate portions were this killing machine's wife felt around crucial points in the book. (does he re-enlist, the death of a friend, turmoil in the marriage, etc.) You do not have to be a military person to enjoy this. Check it out.

The Boys, Vol. 4: We Gotta Go Now - Darick Robertson,Garth Ennis
The series just gets better and better! I love it! This one has Huey infiltrating the G-Men. The most profitable of super heroes at the moment. It has a surprising amount of revelations.
Mr. Lays's rating:

The Boys, Vol. 3: Good for the Soul - Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson
Plenty of back story is fleshed out in this volume. We now have starling information about "The Seven" and the origins of Vought-American. While it doesn't necessarily further the story, it makes the motivation for Butch and others even more clear.
Mr. Lays's rating:

The Boys, Vol. 2: Get Some - Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson
I thought that vol.1 was just to entice the reader in then change the format. I am ever glad that I was wrong. This series is slowly becoming one of my favourites.

Incarnations of Immortality 1: On a Pale Horse... - Anthony, Piers
As much as I do enjoy a "great" Sy-Fy flick, I personally do not like reading science fiction tales. This book was recommended by a friend, (after a conversation about the after life) and I am pleasantly surprised. The premise is a simple as this: A suicidal man mistakenly "kills" Death and assumes his throne. Further awesomeness includes, Death has a horse that can transform into a sports car, prostitute Irish ghosts, and Satan himself having his own advertising firm. Yeah, it's in this novel.
Mr. Lays's rating:

A Gathering of Old Men - Ernest J. Gaines
Ernest J. Gaines, simply put, is one of the best fiction authors of race relations ever. A must read.

Daredevil Volume 1 HC: Man Without Fear! v. 1... - David Mack_VI,Kevin Smith,Joe Quesada
I will be honest, I know nothing about Daredevil's on going battle with Kingpin ( Holy shit, did you know that Kingpin was blind!). The last image that I have of Daredevil was the film which we shall not speak of...Anyways, this is an excellent read. I am curious to continue this story.
Mr. Lays's rating:

American Vampire, Vol. 1 - Scott Snyder_XI, Stephen King
I love this new twist on vampires! No sparkling teen romance involved, this is just pure viciousness. Do your self a favor and head down to your local library and check this story out.
Mr. Lays's rating:

I had been on the hunt for this book for quite sometime and I finally got my hands on it through my local library. This book contains more Japanese gangsters than you could even fathom. Even at organized crime's strongest here in the U.S. we could even be prepared for the sheer strength (not just in numbers) and considerable power that these gangsters wield. A really fun read for anybody interested in Japanese organized crime.
Mr. Lays's rating:

Yeah, I Said It - Wanda Sykes
Although I haven't watched much of her stand up routine, this book had me in stitches! It's a fairly short read, but it may give you at-least a couple hours of laughter.
Mr. Lays's rating:

The Autobiography of Malcolm X: As Told to Alex Haley... - Attallah Shabazz, Alex Haley, Malcolm X
Simply put, one of the best books that I have ever read in my life. A must read by all people.
Mr. Lays's rating:
