MMA Rankings: Light Heavyweight

SCARY! That's about all that can be said about "Bones" Jones. Dude is a complete beast. If he stays hungry and healthy, nobody will beat this guy for a very, very long time.

First Professional Fight

It's fighters like Dan Henderson that concern me about this Zuffa MMA monopoly. If Dana White thinks a fighter is worth 'X' dollars and won't budge, where will they go now? Dan has a few years left in him... the question is, will he get the chance to face the top talent?

Looks like "Shogun" Rua is about to take on the role of gatekeeper for awhile. He's better than most, but he just looked silly against Jones.

All it would take is for him to make the decision to jump weight classes and I'm sure he'd shoot up the rankings.

Very impressive KO against Randy Couture. Never thought I'd see anybody pull off the 'crane kick' from Karate Kid in the cage but he managed to do it. Karate is back boys and girls.

IF he ignores the calling movie career and stays focused, he's top 5 ability. If not, he's probably not even in the top 10.

I guess we'll see how hungry he is now that he is taking on Phil Davis instead of the title shot against Jones. His career is at a bit of a crossroads depending on how this fight goes.

Let's face the facts. Bader has run right through everybody he's faced except for "Bones" Jones. He's going to be near the top for a long time.

I realize he's not a Light Heavyweight, but I think he could prolong his career by dropping a weight class. He's undersized compared to many of the top Heavyweights right now and I think he'd fare well against other LHW.

His career took a huge downturn after the Anderson Silva fight. He has all the charisma you could ask for, but his skills are fairly limited. He's the regular pitbull type fighter that simply outworks most of his opponents.
