Formed in 2007, Magnet Releasing is a branch of the larger and 6 years older American film distribution company, Magnolia Pictures. Over the past 5 years Magnet Releasing has established an identity for itself shaped largely by "genre films" of a variety that are often a bit "out-of-step" with what generally saturates the American movie market. Foreign Action/Martial Arts movies are something of a specialty, along with a number of noteworthy Horror titles, domestic and foreign alike. Other titles seem suited for 70's "grind-house" theaters, while comedies and various thrillers more or less round out their catalog.

At any rate, Magnet Releasing has been responsible for bringing some interesting and colorful films to our local movie theaters, our DVD players, and television sets, and I've noticed lately that I tend to take a liking/fascination to the films they dish out. So here's a list of everything that Magnet's name is attached to so far, and I'll be casually crossing a number of these titles off my "watched" list.
