I Was Wrong About Them!

Previously, I thought that Kristen Bell was all looks and nothing else. Ay, Díos mio, was I wrong! I gained a huge amount of respect for her when I learned about how devoted she is to animal rights. Plus, she can sing very well and her acting is definitely above the Hollywood standard.

I once thought that he was all hype. I was definitely wrong. He was excellent in Shutter Island and in Django: Unchained.

He made those infamous rants, of course, but that's not what surprised me about him.
Honestly, I thought that Mel Gibson sucked during his Lethal Weapon days. But then there was the amazing Braveheart! He also did a great job on Apocalypto as well as in Machete Kills.

Before I saw Casino Royale for the first time, I thought that Eva Green was nothing but a lust object. Her performance in the Dreamers did not impress me, to put it mildly. Then I saw Casino Royale in 2006. Damn, she did a great job as Vesper Lynd - possibly the best performance as a Bond girl ever!

I once thought that Ryan Reynolds was just one of those interchangeable actors who appear in crap like American Pie. Eventually, I realized that I was wrong. He has proven that he can act and do comedy. Then there's Deadpool! It was as if the role was made for him.

I'll say that my feelings about Emma Stone are downright schizophrenic, for lack of a better description. In my mind, she was insanely hot, but little else. I'll be the first to admit that my mind is fucked up.

Then I saw a clip of La La Land. She definitely has talent, that can't be denied. But what about all of the hard-working and/or talented people who never succeed because they weren't advantaged in the first place? She was definitely born into privilege. Emma and I are from the same metro area - that's how I know.
Anyhow, let me just say that my feelings are still mixed.
