Here in Britain we have a wealth of comedic programming, and deep within the circuit is embedded a tradition of usually long-running, with a few exceptions, comedy panel shows.
I'm only including ones that are typically only celebrity guests, so no Blankety Blank here, I'm afraid. I will inevitably have missed a couple, since I don't in fact sit and watch television all the live-long day. Suggestions are welcome where I've missed things out, and I will be looking through the Wikipedia list for others to add.
The usual set-up is of two teams, with either 2 or 3 members each. Often, when there are three people per team, there will be one guest who is meant to be the aim of ridicule by the other guests, and the host. This is frequently the case on shows such as Have I Got News For You and 8 Out of 10 Cats. QI is a little out of the ordinary for both of these comments, though, as it pits each of it's 4 guests against one another, and the only recurring one, Alan Davies, is the dunce of the group, normally scoring in the minuses.
