Film Journal - July, 2014

One of my favorite films, granted it's very much an 80's movie, and the soundtrack, does feel out of place, but I still like the film and soundtrack, none the less.

 

While not the best film in the series, it's a pretty good movie, that could have been alot better.

Dark, brutal, atmospheric, unsettling, and totally worth checking out. It's very much R rated, and not for those who can't stomach lots of blood and violence.

 

An interesting film, that could have been alot better. I still liked Anthony Hopkins' performance, as Hitchcock.

 

Probably one, of the best thriller suspense films, of all time.

What else is there to say, other than it's probably one of the most awesome films, of all time?

While not a great film, it's a pretty good movie, that reminded me alot of mid 80's horror comedies, like Ghoulies.

While not as good, as the first film, it does have it's moments, and the special effects, are still to this day, really good.

 

A pretty overall okay movie, it's not great by any means, just okay.

One of my favorite comedy films. If you haven't seen it by now, you should definitely check it out.

 

I totally love this film, and it gets better with each viewing.

 

This is pretty much the film, other than Cyborg, introduced me to one of my favorite action stars, of all time, Jean Claude Van Damme.

 

It's by no means, an easy movie to watch.However, it's one of my favorite films, by Kevin Smith to date.

And it's way better than Cop Out.

After being fired from NBC, Conan O'Brien went on tour, and this is the film, that covered it.

Being a big fan, I was looking forward to seeing the movie, and finally gotten around to seeing it, and really liked the film alot.

 

This is the movie, that introduced to the wonderfully absurd humor, that is Monty Python, and I have been a big fan, ever since.

While not the best film, in the series, it's still a pretty decent film.

The penguins, are great as always.

 

It's an okay film, but I liked Borat a lot more. It's a way better movie, than Bruno.

 

One of my favorite Disney movies, of all time. I especially liked the animation and the soundtrack.

Finally, gotten around to seeing Gravity, and it's a real beautifully well made film.

In an odd way, it's kind of like Waiting For Godot in outer space, in there's two characters, left drifting along, waiting to someone or something to show up.

The ending feels upbeat, but in an odd way, it's kind of depressing, too.

 

Steve Coogan, is probably one of my favorite actors, and after hearing that hearing that Alan Partridge is finally making his way to screen, I knew I had to watch it.

Needless to say, I wasn't disappointed.

A pretty decent film, that's worth checking out, if you ever the chance, to see it.

 

A very much underrated film, and one of my favorite movies, from the 90's.

Always dreamt of seeing Eric Roberts, in a martial arts film? Well, now is your chance!

And actually, it's not that bad of a movie.

 

A classic movie, in every sense of the word. If you like high octane action films, then this is the one for you.

Keep in mind, it's a very gut wrenching movie, too.

 

As much as I liked the first movie, I love the sequel even more.

Can a great and funny movie, have an even better sequel? In this case, the answer is yes.

A pretty ok film, and one of the better Cuba Gooding Jr movies, I have seen in a while.

And considering, that his latest films, are kind of meh, it's kind of a compliment.

One of the most polarizing movies, made over the last few years. Me? I really liked it, even if it's some what flawed.

 

One of my favorite, guilty pleasure films, of all time.

It's cheesy, with a capital C, and far more entertaining than most of Michael Bay's Transformer movies.

It could have been better, but it also could have been a more worse.

It's an ok movie, at best.

The sequel is ok, I guess. Third time's the charm?

 



While not great, it's really hilariously at times, especially Robert Stack's cameo.

Slightly better than the sequel, overall it's a decent movie.

Only one word, can describe this movie, and it's blarg.

Not exactly one of my favorite movies, from the last few years. And I so wanted to like it, too.

I wanted to see this movie, for as long as I can remember. And finally, I gotten around to see it, and liked it.

 

One of the better video game movies, I have seen in awhile, and that's saying alot.

 

One of the most gloriously cheesy movies, of all time. Gotta love, any film that's main character is named Gibson Riddenbacker.

 

One of my favorite Quentin Tarantino movies, the performances in the movie, are great too.

 

Yet another, Tarantino film, that I really liked, alot.

It was an okay movie, I guess.

Please, for the love of God, let the pain stop. Thanks.
