War and Peace (Penguin Classics) - Leo Tolstoy
Princess Natasha Rostova.
There is just something about this girl that makes me want to strangle her.

Victor Frankenstein.
What kind of bastard revives a human being and then abandons him?! And then to refuse to step in and take responsibility over him after clearly seeing that the other was suffering and in need of help?!
If anyone deserves to have a lynching mob on their tails it's Victor Frankenstein.

Of Mice and Men (Penguin Modern Classics) - John Steinbeck
Curley's wife.
She's the reason George and Lennie's dream comes crashing down.
She is promiscuous and loose, constantly prowling around for men despite the fact that she's married to Curley.

I don't know what it is about him that just rubs me the wrong way.

A Streetcar Named Desire and Other Plays - Tennessee Williams
Stella and Stanley Kowalski.
A match made in hell.
Stanley rapes Blanche and Stella allows him to get away with raping her sister. She also easily succumbs to lust so as to push away reality and her need to deal with it.

Vanity Fair (Penguin Classics) - William Thackeray
Amelia Sedley.
Thought I was going to say Becky Sharp, didn't you?
There's a difference between being naive and being a moron. Amelia seems to be the latter.
Amelia allows herself to be used and abused by Becky and allows her so-called friend to start a relationship with both her brother and her husband. She forgives her all that even in the end when Becky uses the flimsy excuse that she did it all for her son (whom in reality she doesn't love or even care about) in order to get back in Amelia's good graces so as to try and resume her pursuit of Amelia's brother Joseph.

Of Mice And Men - John Steinbeck
Curley.
An asshole who always seems to be looking for trouble. He is quick to get into a fight with anyone due to an inferiority complex and a constantly wandering wife.

Harvey's rating:

Catch-22 - Joseph Heller
Milo Minderbinder.
He tried to feed the soldiers chocolate covered cotton in order to get rid of it. He created a syndicate which catered to both sides regardless of the fact that it was helping the enemy kill his own men. He also tried to bomb his own unit, stole the air tanks from the emergency kits, and revealed sensitive information to the enemy at the expense of his companions.
A firing squad is too good for this guy.

American Psycho - Bret Easton Ellis
Patrick Bateman.
There's metrosexual, and then there's homosexual. Poor Bateman seems to have snapped because he refused to admit that he prefers to pitch for the other team.
The killing, the insanity, the superficiality...I can forgive all of that in Bateman, but what I couldn't stand was his inane knowledge of brand names.

The Glass Menagerie - Tennessee Williams
Amanda, Laura, and Tom Wingfield.
Amanda needs to let go of her past, Laura needs to grow up, and Tom is a hypocrite.

Newt, Frank, and Angela Hoenikker.
All three bastards had their father's Ice-nine in their possessions. They knew what it was capable of, but instead of destroying it, what did they do? They sold it each for opposing countries for their own selfish reasons, thus destroying the world by encasing it in deadly bio-engineered ice.

War and Peace (Penguin Classics) - Leo Tolstoy
Andrei Bolkonsky.
Yet another character from War and Peace.
This novel is just full of easy to hate characters.
He allows himself to be controlled by his father and his introspective nature is worse then Peire's as his thoughts are boring and insipid.
