The Republican Party, commonly referred to as the GOP (abbreviation for Grand Old Party), is one of the two major political parties in the United States.

Samuel Goldwyn (born: August 17, 1879 in Warsaw, Poland; died: January 31, 1974 in Los Angeles, California, USA) was a Jewish Polish-American film producer.
He was most well known for being the founding contributor and executive of several motion picture studios in Hollywood including M-G-M (Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer).
Goldwyn is notorious for his misuses of the English language which became known as Goldwynisms.
