I was so shocked and surprised seeing this on netflix. I love his character as he embarks on helping his neighbor get her stolen things back.

I loved Nick and Elijah's chemistry in this one. I loved it even when it turned dark. I loved it almost till the end. The ending was a bummer. Nick was energetic, crazy and scary. Elijah was sympathetic and conflicted. I love how he was with the woman.
Pawn Shop Chronicles (2014)

Lijah's role in this movie was only about 10 minutes. Kudos to Wood for choosing yet another very different role though far too brief role for his talent.
Maniac (2012)

Due to the camera perspective shooting, we loose all of Wood's body language and nuances that he could've successfully brought to the character. I've adored Elijah and his work for 13 years and he FINALLY stars in his own love story horror drama and we can't even see the interaction. I enjoyed their story and I wanted better for them. :P
The Ballad of Danko Jones (2012)
[Short]

OMG THIS 24 minute short film. He was a shotgun toting business suit wearing criminal type. His character was such a bad ass that it almost made up for the 10 years I've been waiting to see him play a part like this.

Wilfred (2011)

This show actually makes me laugh out loud. In truth I watch it completely for Wood but Jason Gann is HILARIOUS. I've looked forward to a new season every year and will be very disappointed when it ends. It's been so long since I've had a dose of any of Wood's work that wasn't boring.
There where tiny spots in movies that I wish where larger. Movies like Sin City and Pawnshop Chronicle's.
Everything Is Illuminated (2005)
I remember liking the first half, being drawn in by comedy but the last half is more serious and a downer.
Sin City (2005)

Ever since Frodo, I have highly anticipated Wood's work. It felt like forever from 2001 - 2005, only 4 years. The gap between Sin City and Maniac is 7 years.
Sin City was the biggest greatest amazing let down of any actors work that I've looked forward to in my life. I loved the type of character he played. A cannibalistic ninja assassin with razor sharp claws and only 6 minutes of screen time.
Then came a long list of movies that weren't interesting to me and/or the character he played wasn't unique and memorable at all.

Great movie. He was perfect in this role with his nuances, his voice, the vulnerability and strength and the sweetness that fell away at times to reveal darkness. Elijah was fantastic.
Chain of Fools (2000)

I was generally convinced that Mikey was an actual hit man at first. Though the obvious give away was the story of how he 'rubbed out' the Governor and how it kept changing. I loved the scenes where he kicked the governors ass but each time it was a little different XD. Also, how he was lonely and frequently appeared in the house of guy the who he worked for and asking a fellow hit man to go out to eat with him and go to a show.
The Good Son (1993)

This movie was made really well though it's a tragic story. It was a good attention grabber. Though I always imagined the roles of Culkin and Wood being reversed. Even back then I've wanted to see him in bad guy roles. XD
Fast forward to Maniac, the 2012 horror film he stared in, we get to hear him but not see him. I love his voice, cheers for all the heavy breathing.

all my lists have spoilers
I've seen most of his moves, twice as many as that are listed here but, they were not memorable in the least, to include. His is the most disappointing filmography I've watched. it's not that I expect him to be in more blockbusters since lord of the rings, just something I find interesting in some way. I still look forward to his future projects.
