2004 ranks as my #1 year in the 2000's in average Top 10 rating with an 8.9. It brought my favorite comedy of all time, Anchorman, one of the most quotable movies in recent memory, Napoleon Dynamite, and quite a few other very solid entries. Because of the strength of 2004, I decided to expand my Top 10's into Top 25 to see if this rating held up, or if it actually increased it's lead!

The depth of this year is evident as there were easily 40 movies I was able to find worth ranking, as opposed to most years when there were 25 or less. Holding a 7.7 average rating at 25 deep; and even at 40 deep, the average rating is over 6. Very impressive indeed!
