Classic Looking, NOT Exotic

On some message board, I once stated that I had no idea Stacey was black (I seriousl thought she was a tanned white woman) and boy, did I get punished for THAT. A few black posters got very offended with me for that. Despite the fact that she has soft straight hair, green eyes, light smooth skin and general all-American looks that are unusual for a woman of color. -_-

Which begs the question: Why is it considered such a huge compliment to say white women look ethnic (Angelina and her "black" lips; Megan Fox and her "Cherokee" hair and cheekbones; Taylor Swift and her unusual "Asian" eyes, etc.) yet when you dare to say an ethnic woman looks white (and let us be honest: almost all the ones Hollywood adores look 100% white or at least mixed), people cry "IGNORANT RACIST IDIOT!"?!?

Wow, I just noticed from this angle she looks like Brenda Song.

Thankfully she is usually not regarded as exotic. I know a half Puerto Rican girl (who actually considers herself and her heritage to be mighty sexy and exotic *gag*) who looks like her. Sorry, not exotic. Very Caucasian-looking for someone who's Latina, although honestly, I find that the only Latinas considered hot typically do look generic and often white.

Her features are just too "perfect looking" to be very exotic, you know? Exotic is all about different and flawed, like Audrey Hepburn's "thick" eyebrows, Gisele Bundchen's "big nose", etc.

I just noticed out of the blue a few weeks ago that Jen an dKate Hudson look JUST alike: exact same heart-shaped face, thin eyebrows, thin nose connecting to their small eyes that also have the same shape, same smiles... So why is Kate considered a 'classic' beauty but Jennifer isn't despite how similar they look? Oh, because Kate is a blonde white woman, and Jennifer is "ethnic". I forgot... XD

Half-white and it shows. Obviously a cute girl but I was surprised to see that she too is considered exotic. Lucy Liu is exotic because Asians so rarely have freckles or delicate square jaws like that, but Brenda looks quite classic.

I once heard this girl (she was black, in case you wondered) say Beyonce, Jessica Alba, Liz Taylor, and Halle were exotic. I was very surprised, but I blew it off because the girl herself is well-known around here for being extremely ditzy. However, I did some research on people's opinions of their looks and some actually DO consider them all exotic! What?! I went so long not having a clue they were considered that because their classic/generic looks were so blatantly obvious it just went without saying, like breathing, so I never would have thought anyone could say otherwise.

Like with many of these ladies, it seems to be only her coloring that people find exotic, and so they call her exotic even though her attractive features are clearly classic, even Caucasian-looking (which is another reason why she is considered so beautiful, just like Jessica Alba, Vanessa, Adriana, Kim, etc. Women who are faull ethnic or of ethnic descent like Whoopi Goldberg or the Jewish Sarah Jessica Parker with strong ethnic features that make them exotic are simply considered ugly, not rightfully exotic).

I do think her beautiful face shape is exotic, though.
