This is the 2nd heaviest album I had ever heard when I was 14. My friend showed me these guys and since then, it's my favorite album by my favorite band Demon Hunter.
This is the titan of metalcore brutality in my opinion. I've yet to find an album to top this. It's just exceptional. Insane breakdowns, killer riffs, ear destroying growling, eerie sounds, catchy melodic choruses and stellar lyrics. All jam packed into 11 tracks.
Undying is the first standout song and it's the first one I listened to. Lyrics deal with Christians and being "undying" because we believe their is life after death, hence the undying. My favorite track, however, is Science Of Lies. Science Of Lies talks about faith in man and science and how it's so flawed it's retarded. It's one of my favorite songs of all time. The chorus has crazy fast drums and melodic strumming, it gets me in a spiritual trance almost, in a good way. To this day I've yet to see Demon Hunter live, but when I do, any song played from this album will cause me to cause terror on any being near me. Triptych is very underrated it's saddening at times. :/
Favorite Tracks: all, but haha seriously Science of Lies, Undying, Not I and the cover song "Snap your fingers, snap your neck."
