A great movie

I already saw this movie but since it was a while back, I was quite eager to check it out again. Well, eventually, even after all these years, I still think it is quite brilliant and it is definitely one of my favorite movies. Basically, you have everything you actually need in a great motion picture. Indeed, it's funny, entertaining and quite thoughtful at the same time. One of the craziest things is that, so many years later, reality-TV shows are still dominating the television landscape so this movie was actually really ahead of its time. To be honest, I have to admit that I was not always been convinced by Peter Weir’s work. For example, in my opinion, ‘Dead Poets Society’ is a seriously overrated flick but, this time, Weir really nailed it. Furthermore, 4 years after his breakthrough thanks to ‘Ace Ventura’, ‘The Mask’ and ‘Dumb and Dumber’ (all released the same year), Jim Carrey displayed that he was not only a funny guy but also a gifted actor, something which was really settled with the also terrific ‘Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind’. Anyway, to conclude, I think is a really amazing piece of work, it is a genuine classic and it is definitely worth a look, especially if you are interested in Jim Carrey’s work.
