An average movie

I wasn't expecting much from this flick but since I have a weak spot for Samuel L. Jackson, I thought I should check it out anyway. Eventually, it was indeed a rather unoriginal and boring buddy movie. This time again, you have the usual tough cop played by Samuel L. Jackson and the annoying and oblivious civilian played by Eugene Levy, something which has been done many times in the past but way better than here. Even though, I have to admit, there were here and there a few funny scenes, a part from that, it was nothing I hadn't seen before and it didn't provide any improvements or original ideas to the formula and the whole thing was just rather tedious to watch. Above all, it was really annoying to see Eugene Levy playing the same kind of obnoxious guys he always portrays. After the 'American Pie' movies became succesful, they tried to launch his career but it never took off but with such abysmal features, it is hardly surprising. To conclude, it is just a really average comedy and it is not really worth a look even if you are a fan of Samuel L. Jackson.
