Honestly, I wasn't expecting much from this flick but, somehow, I still ended up watching it. Indeed, most of the movies dealing with the relationships between men and their pets usually bore me to death and, even if this movie was actually well received, I was pretty much I wouldn’t like it. I wonder if my wife actually saw this flick, since she is a dog lover (we have 6 of them right now. I know, that’s a lot and I’d rather not talk about this subject…), she would definitely like or even love it. Still, I have to admit it, it wasn't bad at all. To start with, Owen Wilson and Jennifer Anniston both delivered some pretty good and believable performances and above all, I thought the whole thing was rather well made and written. Still, due to its total lack of originality, I can't say I was blown away by this movie. Furthermore, if Owen Wilson was trying something else for a change, Jennifer Anniston was again playing the same character all over again and it is getting pretty tiresome at this point. To conclude, it is a well made but very standard and predictable drama but I think it is still worth a look, especially if you are a dog lover.
