An average movie

Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from this flick as I thought it seemed to be a rather lame serial-killer feature and I ended up watching this flick with my wife because she is a huge fan of this genre. On top of that, even though this movie was fairly successful at the box-office (at least, during the opening week-end), it had received some rather abysmal reviews. To my surprise, I thought it was actually not bad at all. Indeed, I always had a weak spot for Marisa Tomei, I think she is a nice actress and as usual she delivered a competent performance. On top of that, James Spader is also a rather underrated actor and he did a decent job here as well. I guess the main critic against this movie would be, as usual, Keanu Reeves's poor acting skills but I thought he was actually a rather believable serial killer. Of course, the story was obviously rather far-fetched but it is inherent to the genre and, for once, it didn’t bother me. Anyway, even though it was nothing really amazing, I thought it was decent watch and if you're a fan of serial killers flicks, you should definitely check this one out.
