Synopsis:
Eddie Cahyono’s dramatic film begins with a police raid of a karaoke bar. In the bar is the protagonist Siti, whose sacrificial acts for the greater good have led her here. Prior to this pitiable
scene, a fishing accident had rendered her husband paralysed, burdening the family with crippling debt.
A young mother to her son, Siti has to find ways and means to care for the boy, her husband and her mother-inlaw. By day, she sells snacks; by night, she works as a karaoke guide. Tainted by her nighttime employment, Siti finds her husband no longer wishes to speak to her.
As she walks the beautiful landscape, the weight of troubles on her shoulders, there is a fable-like quality in how Siti has tough choices to make in order to find happiness again.
