Comedienne and singer/songwriter Joyce Grenfell only has a cameo in "Stage Fright", but she's my favourite character in the movie. She plays a woman promoting a carnival shooting gallery where people can raise money for orphans by shooting ducks.
She has one of my favourite British accents ever and her goofy dialogue/appearance make her the most memorable part of the movie for me.
It's cute that she's credited only as 'Lovely Ducks'. I especially enjoy how she emphasizes the shooting gallery prize dolls being fully dressed. What else would they be? Half-naked?
