Correcting Amazon data?

Chuck Kahn 18 years, 9 months ago at Sep 9 23:31 -
Some of the mistakes in the DVD database are distorting my directors/actors. Peter Moffatt only directed one of my Doctor Who DVDs, yet he is credited with 14 of them, making him the most prolific director in my collection.

On the Music side, some non-entity named "Original Soundtrack" is credited for 30 of my CDs (and 4210 in the listal database), negating the important contributions of Jerry Goldsmith, John Williams and other fine composers.

Is there a way to include a form that links to directly to the Amazon ASIN product for correcting these mistakes? Listal.com makes Amazon's errors stand out. Or should we cut the umbilical to amazon in these instances and just maintain a separate database? You'd think that since amazon.com owns the imdb.com, they could figure out which composer did what movie.

It is suprising how bad some of the amazon data is, I will allowing modifying a product in the future but will require quite a bit of work. I want to have a wiki style system where anyone can edit and rollback/revision history is available.

The amazon data is so skewed. I wish we could edit some of these things. For example, I have most of the Friends Seasons, and the only actor that is credited is Lisa Kudrow. And she's my least favorite one... Frown.
