Stanislav Hložek or Standa Hložek was born on September 16, 1954 in Kroměříž. He is known primarily as a singer and presenter. He became most famous in the singing duo with Petr Kotvald, which was particularly successful in the 1980s. Hložek graduated from the Secondary Technical School of Construction in Gottwaldov. Later, he studied journalism at the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University in Prague. He can play the piano and accordion.
