Description: Sofia Goggia (Bergamo, 15 November 1992) is an Italian World Cup alpine ski racer. She made her World Cup debut in December 2011 and primarily competed on the European Cup circuit until the 2016 World Cup season. She won the gold medal in the downhill at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang. In the World Cup, she reached 22 podiums with 5 wins (3 downhill, 2 supergiant), winning the 2017 overall bronze medal, the 2017 giant slalom bronze medal, the 2017 downhill silver medal, and the 2018 downhill tilte, edging out Lindsey Vonn by three points.
