"First viewing - April 15th I'd initially avoided this partly because it's my default setting to avoid Ben Stiller, but because it's a Noah Baumbach movie I knew I'd eventually get around to it anyway. To be fair I'm not sure I would've been as open to it in 2014 for personal reasons, but watching it now I deeply appreciated it. The characters are fascinating and relatable, and I found myself connecting often with some of the ideas it explores. Overall I kinda loved it, and would even be willing"
“Since I have a weak spot for Noah Baumbach’s work, I was quite eager to check this movie. Well, the tricky thing with this director is that he very often focuses on some usually rather unlikeable characters and, to be honest, as a result, it is rather difficult to really care for them or what they are going through. This movie was a good example, I’m afraid. Indeed, this time around, Baumbach decided to focus not on one but two douchbags. The first one was Josh who was another self-rigtheous pathetic loser that Ben Stiller has played too many times by now. Seriously, towards the end, he even gave us one of his typical hysterical scenes. Of course, the other douchebag was Jamie who was at first rather annoying but then he seemed to be for while some kind of generous freewheeling selfles” read more
" DVD- 1hr. 37min. First Viewing It's not as insightful as it thinks it is, but While We're Young does explore the generational gap between Gen-Xer's and millennials with wit and wisdom, never painting broad strokes, nor coming away with any definitive answers. A winning cast, smart script, and warm visual palette help make this a winning effort."

" 7.7/10 Baumbach comes out with yet another superbly-written example of what it's like to be young, wanting to be young, to be hip, wanting to be hip, to be intelligent, wanting to be intelligent. So yeah, nothing knew for the writer/director, but his ability to make these familiar aspects seem fresh with new characters is impressive. "
"That is not what Ayahuasca does, stupid nimrods. The ending to this one didn't make any sense. And I f'ing hate hipsters with every fiber of my being."
