The first movie was very simple, about surviving in an unknown planet by avoiding the attacks of the alien creatures. But the second movie was totally different with broad in story expansion about humans and human like creature's invasion of different planets of the universe. "From.... (The Chronicles of Riddick 2004) To... (Riddick 2013) Gap between movies : 9 years Was it worth the wait ? : I don't know, to be honest, it seems that Vin Diesel doesn't seem to be able to bring up some new material and keeps coming back with some sequels which is pretty disappointing. Riddick is a pretty cool character though."
