Christian Jaque has a flair and charm for adventures, characters enjoy even thier mishappenings as the noble happy when noticed that he's gonna be executed by Le tulipe. Naiveté and cinicism in big duel.

Apparently, this movie is named for the Alexandre Dumas novel, though from the plot synopsis, it has nothing to do with the Dumas novel and takes place 150 years after the novel. As for the quality of the movie, I have not seen it yet, so cannot comment until I see it.
