On November 7, 1872, the merchant ship Mary Celeste was found abandoned. There was no indication of any trouble on board; all cargo was intact; the food stores were not disturbed. The last page of the ship's log was missing. This short explores the many theories that were put forth as possible explanations of the mystery.
