“Since I'm a big fan of Thomas Vinterberg's work, of course, I was quite eager to check this movie. Well, even though the damned thing really had some potential, especially since Vinterberg himself grew up in such a commune in Denmark, it still didn't really work, I'm afraid. Basically, instead of actually focusing on the commune itself and most of its residents, they focused only on a couple which was a mistake in my opinion. As a result, it became a rather typical tale of a couple struggling with adultery and, in fact, they could have completely removed the commune since the story would have been pretty much the same in an ordinary setting.
