The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 Reviews
A bad movie
Posted : 3 years, 3 months ago on 6 November 2021 07:46To be honest, I had some rather low expectations about this sequel but I thought I might as well check it out anyway. Well, eventually, I really didn’t care much for the damned thing, that’s for sure. Seriously, as far as I was concerned, it felt as if Tobe Hooper had been forced to come up with a sequel for his classic horror film and therefore had decided to completely botched the damned thing. However, it wasn’t apparently the case as, in fact, according to Hooper, the really weird black humor was actually already present in the previous installment, it’s just that we didn’t notice it back then because of all the horror going on. Anyway, this sequel was basically some kind of rather weird feverish nightmare and, I know, I make it now sound more appealing than it actually was. Sure, there was some slaughtering going on but, eventually, not that much. Instead, you get a succession of scenes which barely made sense with some lame jokes every 2 minutes. For some reason, there was also Dennis Hopper involved who got in a chainsaw fight with Leatherface and, yes, it was as pathetic as it might sound. By the way, they didn’t even make an effort to make Leatherface look at least a little bit similar to what he looked like in the previous movie but even his behavior was not consistent either. I mean, why would he spare that girl? Because he was falling in love? Come on, give me a break… Even their hideout was completely ridiculous and didn’t make much sense. Anyway, to conclude, it has been a while since I have seen such a disappointing sequel and I don’t think it is worth a look whatsoever.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 review
Posted : 3 years, 10 months ago on 3 April 2021 01:39This was a fun film to watch, Dennis Hopper and Bill Moseley were unforgettable. The kills are creative, the humor is dark and witty, the scares are surprising, just another standard slasher film right? You’d be shocked to find out it isn’t

The second installment in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre Series, and back in the director chair is Legend Tobe Hooper; and what a job he does! Off the top of my head, I can not think of a better Horror sequel to date. Leatherface returns as well, with more of a specific twist on the family who call the masked killer their own- and their sick habits almost put him to shame! Bill Moseley plays a character named Chop Top, a Vietnam vet who sports a Sunny Bono wig and a coat hanger to itch his Scalp scratches caused by a metal plate. The opening scene was mere perfection, not even waiting for the stupid kids driving the car on a path of destruction of the state of Texas, but killing them while en route to whatever location they were headed to., Literally. Both the cars were in Drive and the body in front of leather face was so awesome, something I can’t forget if I tried. Dennis Hopper also plays a former Texas Marshall on the hunt for the family, and instead of any other cop or current Marshall, He’s fighting Saw with Saw! Armed with a bunch of Chainsaws of all kinds of teeth and lengths and teamed up with a Disc Jockey called Stretch (Caroline Williams) of whom which the family is after and has no other sight in his mind but that of the sick bunch of them 6 feet under and the victim of their own trait, Death by Saw!
Drayton: You have one choice, boy: sex or the saw. Sex is, well, nobody knows. But the saw, the saw is family.
