" Netflix- 2hrs. 1min. First Viewing Warning: Okja is one of the more depressing films I've seen in a long time. Sure, its packaged as an action-adventure (which it is, and superbly so), but the film's harsh depiction of GMOs adds terror to underline the picture. Despite this, the film is often thrillingly fun with some great action, especially the many chase sequences, and performances, which range from subtle to, in Jake Gyllenhaal's case, gonzo. "Okja is nice and decent but nothing that memorable. Award: *Best Cinematography "

"Even though I was underwhelmed with Snowpiercer, any Joon-ho Bong film is always going to be highly anticipated by me. It'd be cool to see this in the theatre, but apparently it's going straight to Netflix instead. Then again, Pittsburgh is lacking in dedicated theatres for foreign & indie films, so that may be for the best as it's more likely I'll get to see it. There's no trailer yet, but rest assured I'll be watching it ASAP once it hits Netflix."
