“To be honest, when I noticed that this movie was dealing with some kind of mythical magical beast, I had my doubts about the damned thing but since I have seen almost all the movies directed by Bong Joon Ho and since this movie was directly available on Netflix, I thought I might as well check it out. Well, as usual with this director, it ended up being a mix of many different things such as a family feature, some science-fiction, some social commentary, some comedy,... and, honestly, even though this mix was interesting, I can't say I was really blown away. 2017: Films I've Watched in July
Most anticipated films of 2017 (39 movies items)"Even though I was underwhelmed with Snowpiercer, any Joon-ho Bong film is always going to be highly anticipated by me. It'd be cool to see this in the theatre, but apparently it's going straight to Netflix instead. Then again, Pittsburgh is lacking in dedicated theatres for foreign & indie films, so that may be for the best as it's more likely I'll get to see it. There's no trailer yet, but rest assured I'll be watching it ASAP once it hits Netflix."
