Attack of the Mushroom People is a surreal, psychological horror film about a group of pleasure-seeking tourists are stranded on a mysterious island when their boat crashes. They struggle over the food rations left behind by the former crew, and discover that the crew ate some mushrooms which drove them mad. The group then goes about trying to find other food and water without succumbing to the lure of the fungus. One by one, however, they are soon driven by their hunger and desires to eat the mushrooms—with disastrous effects.
