"A young man Ben Tyler who is looking for his lost dog in the Georgian swamps comes across an old man and his daughter Laurie who escaped there to live after being accused of murdering somebody. Although Ben doesn't really believe that the old man is innocent, he is willing to go back to town and get the sheriff to get a fair trial for him.
