Description: Love & Pop (ラブ&ポップ Rabu & Poppu) is director Hideaki Anno's first live action film, an adaptation of Ryū Murakami's novel, Topaz II. Released in 1998, it somewhat follows the film Tokyo Decadence, an adaptation of Topaz I filmed by Murakami himself. Love & Pop was filmed almost entirely on hand-held digital cameras, and contains some very unusual camera work, including many different mounted camera positions, such as on a model train riding on tracks. "Anno es bastante creativo con el bajo presupuesto e incluso aprovecha el uso de cámaras digitales para visualizar desde varios ángulos los temores de la protagonista por su futuro, el cual lo ve incierto debido a que sus amigas tienen planes bastante ambiciosos y ella simplemente quiere un anillo. Me hace falta verla varias veces para poder dar un comentario más satisfactorio, pero sin duda es una buena película."
