WHY IT'S HERE: The character of Lenny from John Steinbeck's 'Of Mice and Men' was frequently parodied in cartoons with large, dumb characters being portrayed with his characteristics and erroneously calling their co-stars 'George'. Tex Avery was particularly fond of using this reference and built a whole series out of it with the George and Junior "
