Based on the graphic novel by renowned manga writer Hanawa Kazuichi, who used his own experiences behind bars as inspiration, this quirky seriocomedy is set in a Japanese prison where five inmates have no choice but to cope with the ridiculously disciplined environment by taking pleasure in the simplest and most mundane of tasks.
