“To be honest, I wasn't really sure what to expect from this flick but since I have a weak spot for Michael Caine, I thought I might as well check it out. First of all, I have to admit that it had been years since I saw 'The Ipcress File' and I didn't remember it at all. Fortunately, like any James Bond flick, it didn't matter if you couldn't recall what happened during the previous installment and, within 5 mins, I was reminded how brilliant Caine was when he played Harry Palmer. On top of that, I really enjoyed how they approach this genre. Indeed, Palmer was a more realistic version of James Bond without all the fancy gadgets, the colorful villain and their impossible lairs and slightly less sex (all right, Palmer was also a major womaniser like his famous colleague). "19.5 Love the sound in this film, the footsteps, the bullets, the english accents and mixture of languages. This one is a lot more special agent/spy focused then Ipcress and I think overall a better film. "
