An average movie

Those last few years, I have seen many Steve Martin movies and, honestly, most of them were utterly disappointing so I tend to get low expectations before watching any of his movies. However since this flick was pretty successful and has a decent reputation, I was rather curious to check it out. Eventually, I have to admit that it was not bad at all. Indeed, Steve Martin and Diane Keaton were both pretty good and they delivered some decent performances. Still, it was nothing mind-blowing though as I thought it was just too predictable and I didn't care much about the story and the characters involved. I guess they tried to reproduce the same success they had with 'Parenthood' which is one of most highly regarded comedies starring Steve Martin but they never reached that level. Eventually, it was nice and I had a good time watching it, that's for sure, but it was not much more than that. Plus, I always find Martin Short rather annoying and this movie wasn't an exception, I'm afraid. Still, it remains a well made and entertaining comedy and it is definitely worth a look, especially if you like the genre.

"Father Of The Bride", is a very funny comedy film about a man's commentated story of his daughter getting married, and the funny obstacles that he has to go through. The film features the hilarious Steve Martin, who plays the role as George Banks, and Diane Keaton, who plays the role of his wife. Martin Short also plays a small role in this film as the wedding coordinator. I think all of the actors did great, and were all very funny, especially Steve Martin. Overall, this is a very fun to watch film, with hilarious scenes, along with some emotional scenes, blended together to make a great film.
