DMZ, bimujang jidae (2004)

This movie is based on the semi-autobiographical novel of director Lee Gyu-hyeong. "A private's journey" tells the tale of a young aspiring filmmaker Kim Ji-hun. He joins the army and is assigned to the unit at DMZ (DeMilitarized Zone) set between North and South Korea. Their mission is to prevent the North Korea's invasion. One day in Octpber 1979, he learns President Park is assasinated. Taking advantage of this situation, North Korea begins crossing the border.
