I did not expect that Leighton Meester and Garrett Hedlund could sing, but they do really well. Their voices are amazing for country. The chemistry between these actors is so sweet and fresh. Thus I can say that I love this movie and this couple. OMG! Country Strong was an awesome movie. All the actors in it did a fantastic job. The siging was awesome! It also made me cry. I definetly reccomend this movie!

A Southern-fried version of "A Star is Born." Gwyneth Paltrow as a wash-up country singer just didn't look right, especially after all of her English romantic movies.

Soon after a rising young singer-songwriter (Hedlund) gets involved with a fallen, emotionally unstable country star (Paltrow), the pair embarks on a career resurrection tour helmed by her husband/manager (McGraw) and featuring a beauty-queen-turned-singer (Meester). Between concerts, romantic entanglements and old demons threaten to derail them all.
