" Brewster is a minor league baseball player. Unknown to him, he had a (recently deceased) rich relative. In order to test if Brewster knows the value of money, he is given the task of disposing of $30m in 30 days. Brewster isn't allowed to have any assets to show for the $30m or waste the money in any way. If successful, Brewster gets to inherit $300m. The biggest problem of all however, is that Brewster can't tell anyone what he's doing, so everyone thinks he's crazy. Add to this the fact "

" Director: Walter Hill His 8th Movie My 4th movie watched from the director Yes, it's sloppy and full of potholes, but Pryor is undeniably funny and entertaining, as is Candy. Neither comic really gets to let loose, as the movie is strangely PG. It could have been better had it used the lead's R-Rated comedy to their fullest. I love the concept of this movie and there are some clever things put into it and it has a very classic 80s feel that I love. Added to Lists: __________ Locatio"
" "Gentlemen, do you think I'm a lowlife?" "Oh no, Mr. Brewster. Not with these clothes." Directed by Walter Hill Written by Herschel Weingrod and Timothy Harris Music by Ry Cooder Cinematography by Ric Waite Editing by Freeman A. Davies and Michael Ripps"
“To be honest, I wasn’t really sure what to expect from this flick but since it was directed by Walter Hill, I thought I might as well check it out. When I think of Walter Hill, I think of some rather badass action flicks so I was not really convinced by the idea of this guy directing a comedy, especially with a seemingly lame concept. Basically, I was pretty sure it would be seriously weak. Well, to my surprise, I have to admit that the damned thing was not so bad at all after all. Indeed, it worked most of all because it was a wacky comedy which was fully aware of its wacky concept. On top of that, it had been years since I saw a movie starring Richard Pryor and the guy was a perfect choice to play the main character. To be honest, John Candy didn’t get much to do but he was also pret” read more
" Date: 2/9/2022 Viewed: Blu-ray (Shout Factory) Re-Watch Note: I hadn't seen this movie in a long time, and I found the Shout Factory Blu-ray on Amazon Prime for a ridiculously low price. Given that it is Black History Month, I decided to re-watch it because Richard Pryor is one of my favorite comedic actors. It always surprises me that this film did not receive positive reviews when it was first released because I always enjoy it. Brewster's Millions (1985) is, in my opinion, a smart and fun"

"26.7. (Netflix) Visa Mäkisen ja Spede Pasasen käsikirjoitusten innoittajassa, epäonnistuneen Baseball-pelaajan täytyy tuhlata 30 miljoonaa 300 miljoonan perinnöstään hullutuksiin ensimmäisen kuukauden aikana tai muuten hän jää pennittömäksi. Miten helvetissä kovaksi keitetty Walter Hill on ohjannut tällaista kepeää hömppää?"
"When: June 21st First-Time Viewing: Yes. How: DVD from the library. What'd I Think?: A little bit of wasted potential, but still a funny, and also somewhat melancholy, morality tale. My Rating: 7/10 Other Notes: NA."
