More subject than film. Cavani´s goes for an intellectual alibi to explore perversions (including homsexuality as the most diabolic, that ends with Paul Ree's life, but it is also occasion for a sexy homoballet and a sexier nude in a windy Venice). Virna Lisi is ok as histerical and repressed Nietzsches sister.
