Anchorman 2 is way better than the first one. [spoiler]They even throw a bit of supernatural dorkiness into this which is really cheesy, but I actually thought it was funny.[/spoiler] To be honest I didn't even really like the first one except for Brick Tamland and the awesome cameos. Most anticipated sequel because the follow-up in comedy only declines the fun parts and value of the original. The story followed as well the cast and crew from the first. It also spiced up with the cameos of high profile stars, sadly it did not long last. This story travelled even bigger and broader than the first, but the question is does it really lived up to the standards of the original?

“To be honest, I have to admit that I wasn’t a huge fan of ‘Anchorman’ and I wasn’t surprised that this long delayed sequel didn’t get much love when it was released. The issue with this movie and its predecessor is that Ron Burgundy is such a moron. Sure, I get that is the whole point but I always find it difficult to care about comedies which are constantly making fun of stupid characters. In fact, they managed with Brick Tamland to give a character who was even more pathetic and cringe-inducing than Burgundy. At least, I really liked the way they made fun of the fact that the news back then in the 80’s but also nowadays have actually become another form of entertainment instead of a reliable source of information.
