I wasn’t really sure what to expect from this movie but since there was a decent a cast involved, I thought I might as well check it out. Even though Burt Lancaster really disliked the whole thing, it was actually better than I expected and I thought it was actually a decent watch. Based on Arthur Hailey's best-selling novel, this is the granddaddy of disaster movies, starring Burt Lancaster as a harried airport manager facing an imminent blizzard, spineless bureaucrats and a mad bomber. Pilot Dean Martin's flight to Rome carries a passenger (Van Heflin) who has no intention of crossing the Atlantic alive -- and he plans to take the rest of the plane down with him!
