Description:
"Detectorists" is a British comedy-drama television series created by Mackenzie Crook, who also stars in the show alongside Toby Jones. The series premiered on BBC Four on October 2, 2014, and ran for three seasons until 2017, with a Christmas special in 2022.
Set in the fictional small town of Danebury in Essex, the show follows the lives of two eccentric metal detectorists, Andy (Mackenzie Crook) and Lance (Toby Jones), who are members of the Danebury Metal Detecting Club. The series humorously depicts their daily lives, their passion for metal detecting and their often fruitless searches for hidden treasures.
