English musician, singer-songwriter. He achieved commercial success in the 1980s as singer with the synthpop/post-rock band Talk Talk, but retired from the music industry after his 1998 solo debut album.

People I find Inspiring (93 person items)"Mark Hollis was the singer and the main creative force behind Talk Talk. With his talent and visionary skills Mark could've easily just written some easy pop music and gotten rich, but instead he went full artistic mode and pushed the boundaries of what pop and rock music could be. What we call "post-rock" today was originally invented by Mark Hollis and Talk Talk back in the late 80's, and his body of work is still among the premiere art pop there is. "
