Mahmoud Shalaby is a Palestinian actor, musician, and rapper from Akka, Palestine. He has acted in films such as Jaffa (2009), A Bottle In The Gaza Sea (2010), Free Men (2011), and In Between (2016). He was a member of one the first Palestinian hip hop groups MWR. He started MWR in 1998 with his Waseem Aker, Richard Savo, and Charlie Shaabi. The bands wrote songs about the Palestinian cause and problems in Akka such as crimes, drugs, and poverty. Shalaby and MWR performed across Palestine and in Europe and the United States.
