Elle y découvre The Rolling Stones, The Velvet Underground, The Stooges, les albums de son père (Cherokees, Suspense, Rubberband…) et, enfin, ceux d'Ultra Orange, le dernier groupe de ses parents qui avait en 2007 participé au premier disque de l’actrice Emmanuelle Seigner.
Le premier album de Lou Lesage est signé par son père. Pierre Emery y dévoile son amour pour sa fille et, en tant que mélomane, de l’Amérique. Les musiques de l'album sont enregistrées dans l’atelier parisien d’Ultra Orange. Les voix et le mixage sont réalisés à Nashville dans le studio souvent arpenté par Jack White. La sortie du disque est précédée par un EP jaune et noir, la couleur de la banane warholienne.
En tant que chanteuse, Lou Lesage possède les inflexions vocales de Cat Power et la rusticité rock de The Kills. L'EP s'ouvre sur Forgotten Child, titre à l'ambiance évanescente, à la magie noire digne de Mazzy Star. Les autres morceaux sont plus électriques.
