Pretty damn good. What's with the low IMDB score? Very underrated Bigfoot flick, up there with the greats (imo).

Pretty brutal, kind of reminds me of the movie, Grizzly (1976) with its shocking gore effects and kills. Pretty damn good!

Probably one of the best Bigfoot-based horror flicks I've seen in a long time, kinda mad that I missed this one when it came out, very underrated / overlooked imo. Squatch design was different, but in a good way. Gore effects were on point and the death-count was top-notch! Overall, impressive!

Not bad. Loved the design of Sasquatch as well as the gore-effects, pretty well done. Problem tho... the acting is pretty bad, ngl.

The Abominable Snowman (1957)
Watched on: Watched on: February 23rd, 2024.
Really damn good! Peter Cushing was (like always) great in this and perfect casting. The actual horror element was well-done, as well as hiding and keeping the Yeti's a mystery, so that by the time you actual see them it's worth the wait (imo). The death scenes, altho most being off screen, are still brutal and terrifying as you can just imagine being 20-30,000 feet up a mountain in a blizzard while getting mutilated by a giant primate - it's got the tone just right.
Overall, a great film that I definitely recommend!

Savage (2011)
Watched on: December 28th, 2023.
Pretty decent, but not the best Bigfoot movie in the world. I've definitely seen better, but the tone was right for what it was. The Bigfoot in itself (the creature) was a bit different than other more conventional versions that most would imagine, which is.. fine (for the most part). I do find it funny though that a supposed 7-9ft / 400-600lbs "Bigfoot" could be acrobatic and cat-like in it's movement... despite being so big. Altho, this Bigfoot in particular did NOT look very big, so.. I guess they were going for a more "lean-but-mean machine" approach?
Anyway, decent Bigfoot film for sure, I recommend it for binging-purposes.

The Wild Man of the Navidad (2008)
Watched on: April 9th, 2024.
Not bad, I'm more disappointed at the ratings this film got, despite the fact that it's actually quite good for such a low-budget movie. But then again, there's plenty of more mainstream / popular movies I could care less about as well, but that's neither here or there. The fact of the matter is.. this film is based on real events, on a real so-called "Wild Man" that was scene back in the 1850's and supposedly died around the 1880's, it being the first sighting of Bigfoot in Texas at the time. I found the backstory intriguing as well as the very gritty way it was portrayed in this film. The acting is fine, it's what I'd expect for a project like this. The costume that was used for the Wild Man was interesting, it's definitely something I'd suspect a neanderthal type of creature would wear and the tusks were a nice touch. The gore effects are well-done and I enjoyed the kills when they came, very raw and straight to the point. All 'n all, this was a tight Bigfoot film, I enjoyed it!

Drawing Flies (1996)
Watched on: December 28th, 2023.
Pretty good for what it was, being Jason Lee's first role, having the same low-budget / school project-esque tone to the overall film. Dialogue was actually pretty decent, very realistic. Jason losing his shit as time went on, really showcasing the down-spiral of his sanity was well done imo. Anyways, if you haven't checked this film out before, it's on Youtube for free (which is how I watched it) and I definitely recommend it.

Demonwarp (1988)
Watched on: December 27-28th, 2023.
A very weird movie to say the least.. but not a bad movie. Bigfoot, as I assumed (and I was wrong) was going to be the main antagonist of the film, but no... we got a crazy supernatural element to it in which zombies are witchcraft of some sort is involved. The whole movie goes from regular "out in the woods and attacked by bigfoot" to a completely different plot emerging. But once again, despite the craziness and overall shift in tone of the film, it's not bad. Give it a watch if you ever have the time or day to binge a b-movie from the late 80's.. that's all I gotta say.

Feed the Gods (2014)

If it weren't for the very shitty lighting and way too dark overall picture, this film could've been great. It's so dark, you can hardly see wtf is going on in most shots, even when it's supposed to be broad daylight, it's always overshadowed (literally) by the dark filter. The plot in question is not bad and the acting was also pretty decent, as well as the actual Bigfoot, except you don't see "it" until the very end and it's way too dark (once again) to really observe it. From what I could see, the costume was decent enough, but I felt as if I sorta wasted my time as this could've been anything other than a Bigfoot-inspired flick. So, Bigfoot or not, the film was mediocre, despite the actual good effects and acting. Almost seems like the direction wasn't focused enough and whomever decided on the cinematography / picture quality was either trying to be artsy / fancy for no reason or just a complete idiot. Overall... average.

Would've been great to actually see Sasquatch for more than 30 seconds... but whatever, it's not the worst thing I've ever seen, but in terms of a Bigfoot flick.. you know, the product that people want to see? .. its absolute garbage. But.. overall mediocre as a film in itself.

Not a bad movie at all, definitely a classic. Problem is, if you watch the dubbed version which is called "The Werewolf and the Yeti", well.. you'd expect both the Werewolf and the Yeti, as well as a showdown of some sort, but no... what we get is a full movie of a wolfman in the Himalayas and then by the time the Yeti shows up, it's out of nowhere and that's not even the half of it. This "fight" happens in the last 5 minutes of the film, it's very short, probably like 30 seconds long? Yeti loses easily and Wolfman turns back into human form.
Blood effects were great, the cast was okay and the setting was pretty decent. the overall movie is very average, but not terrible.

It was as mediocre as a sci-fi original movie can be. A very messy CGI-filled "horror" film. Gore was okay, the acting was decent, but... the actual "abominable snowman" itself (there's two btw), is horrid looking. Makes you wish it would've just been a guy in a suit instead, but.. no, we get a very ugly-looking CG-monster that doesn't even look like a typical Yeti or Bigfoot, but instead, we get a giant-sloth / short-faced bear looking hybrid of a monster.
Overall, it was... okay, but I'll never watch it again. Nuff said.

Bigfoot Wars (2014)
Watched on: May 25th, 2024.
Well.. this was trash. Boring asf, weird music that didn't fit the tone of the picture whatsoever, bad characters, weird narration when not needed in correlation with scenes... just a weird paced film. Even when the "war" began.. it was just 2 humans vs 10 bigfoot, which went as expected - realistically (if that's the word?) They left the only part you would be waiting for at the very last second...
Yah, bad film.

Nightbeasts (2010)

Probably one of the worst Bigfoot-based films I've ever seen. The strange cuts / transitions to the back-and-forth acting... it's just weirdly edited. I could count like 5 scenes going from one to another in like 3 minutes, it was ridiculous. The Bigfoot(s) were white and terrible looking, weren't even tall... they were like 6 ft. at most. Hell, at one point the kid in the film knocks over a Bigfoot with a bat (easily), even incapacitating it before one of the grown-ups steps in. This film is just... baaaad!

Beast: A Monster Among Men (2013)
Watched on: April 9th, 2024.
This was barely a film, that's one thing I'll say... but also, bigfoot? Not really. You could've watched this film without even knowing it was a supposed bigfoot movie and be absolutely surprised by the time the ending comes around, because there is no indication that this had anything to do with said creature. They attempted to create a twist by the end, but it didn't matter because the film was a train wreck from start to finish. The finale was weak, the "bigfoot" is in the film for about 30 seconds (tops) and the costume is shit, its blurry as hell... but maybe that was the point?
Anyways.. terrible film, don't watch it.

Cry Wilderness (1987)

What a weird-ass movie.. it's supposed to be a family / adventure type of film with some psychedelic trash subplot of a talking humble giant bigfoot that literally just looks like a dude in a suit, meeting up with a little kid whom btw, is the most annoying kid ever, as well as just way too naive to be in the woods. This whole movie was a drag, but as I got to the 45-minute marker, I was just out of it. From there, all I could do was skip-about to get to the next scenes and well... let's just say there was nothing worth a shit in terms of an ending, as it was just, lame asf.
Alright, I'm done ranting..

Watched on: April 8th, 2024.
Terrible. Poster's the only good thing about this absolute train wreck of a film. Bigfoot looks nothing like he does on the poster, it's like the complete opposite.. and as low-budget as can be. The acting is terrible as well, just completely monotone and lifeless. You don't care about any of the characters, not even Squatch himself. Did I mention that the movie is only an hour long? For something that's so short, it felt like forever... like a chore to finish. Don't watch it.

What is this crap? No Bigfoot whatsoever, just random people talking all the time.. and a bunch of nonsensical subplots being brought up one after the other on top of each other.. just creating a borefest. The acting is very mediocre and weird. Nothing gets even remotely resolved. Oh, did I mention there's no Bigfoot shown .. except for a "hairy shoulder" shot at the very end before the credits start rolling? This movie was hot garbage... an hour and a eleven minutes to be exact. What was the point? I don't recommend this shit at all.. it was a snoozer.

More talk than action. Boring characters. Redundant crap folk music that gets annoying quick. Yah... what was with the ending too? A forest fire? Lmao... just terrible!

One of the worst Yeti-based (or just monsters in general) film I've ever seen... it dragged, dragged and just.. dragged forever. Characters were stupid, meaningless and I literally couldn't remember anyone's name throughout this film. The so-called "Yeti" in question ends up being fake and the whole movie comes down to being some crap about a cannibal cult.. or something like that.
Anyways, this movie is trash.
